
Bob Slapin
Bob Slapin is executive director of the San Diego Software Industry Council. He received his law degree from the University of Southern California before embarking on a career that has included international trade and business development for emerging companies. Slapin founded the SDSIC Entrepreneur's Forum, a high-tech networking organization in San Diego and was the founder of Blue Chip Software, later acquired by Encyclopedia Britannica. He has extensive experience in software distribution, joint ventures, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and channel marketing. In addition, he has served in an executive capacity in several high technology companies. Slapin is a member of the California Bar and a founding member of the Software Publisher's Association (now Software and Information Industry Association) and the Computer Game Developers' Association.
